The 21st Century Alliance is fighting for a better future in California where we solve problems and get results. We help elect common sense candidates, hold legislators accountable, pass smart bills, and stop bad policy that caters to special interests.
Who We Are
We are a group of over 5,000 advocates, business and civic leaders, public servants, and Californians from all backgrounds who want to see change in politics and move forward on major challenges. The 21st Century Alliance is non-partisan and work to restore common sense over ideological extremes. Party politics and special interest groups have been obstacles in the way of solving challenges like housing, homelessness, and declining public schools for too long.
The 21st Century Alliance (21CA) was founded to support legislators who stand up to pressure from special interest groups and support policy that benefits all Californians. We focus on best practices and work with expert groups to pass smart policy to address issues like housing, education, and public service funding.

The 21st Century Alliance (21CA) works to elect candidates who commit to put problem-solving over politics. That’s not always easy when special interest groups of all types spend millions to sway and punish politicians that cross them. Our model is to balance the scales by providing resources so legislators can do their job without bias and influence.
We help legislators pass smart policy like streamlining permitting processes that make it easier and cheaper to build housing. Our Capitol Team of policy experts, advocates, Sacramento insiders, and lobbyists are on the front lines to help pass smart policy and stop bad bills. But that’s just a small part of how we move the needle on solving major challenges.
Our supporter base of over 5,000 Californians holds elected leaders accountable by making calls to legislator offices, sending emails and letters, signing petitions, and making their voices heard. Over 2,000 bills are introduced to the California legislature each year. We track those bills to make it easy for our supporters to demand results on big issues.
21CA uses targeted outreach campaigns to educate voters on key bills and policy. That makes it harder for legislators in the pockets of powerful special interest groups to pass bad laws under the radar, and dodge accountability for their actions. This is also how we can end tribalism to put truth and progress above party politics.

Our goals are simple: Get results on major issues like housing and education to help restore trust in politics. That’s how we bring people back from the extremes and unite the majority of voters that just want practical solutions—and not idelogical jokeying for political points.
We see our wins as:

Passing smart policy like 2023’s victory in mandating early dyslexia screening in schools.

Stopping bad bills and the wasteful spending that saw the California’s $100 Billion budget surplus disappear only to leave the state with a deficit soon after.
